Default Corbeau takes custom orders

I just learned today talking with Corbeau that they take custom seat orders with a 5-month build time and $100 surcharge per seat. which is more than reasonable considering that's the price of their limited editions.

The ordeal for me for 6 months has been finding a reclining street/track car seat with a 5th/6th slot. I bought one pair of RRS seats last year before I learned that 4-point belts are dangerous. more recently I bought a RRX pair for the Z. This meets my needs but the color choices are limited. I got the black vinyl with red inserts and it looks great and I love the stealth fifth slot but would have preferred white or white/red.

I've been wanting to order the same seat in white vinyl for another project and it's been frustrating trying to find an alt. The RRS seat comes in white but no fifth slot. I looked into having one installed and the structure of the RRS is not suited.

I know there are other brands but no one has a white vinyl seat except sketchy brands. and I have several seat mounts for this brand already so I figured I would stick with it. It's convenient when you have several cars.

So I ordered an RRX in white vinyl. and I'll probably order another custom pair in the future. just wanted to share for anyone that has a project. you can customize the seat any way you want with any color combination that they have. The reason I went with white vinyl is because it looks terrific with black stitching and the back of the seat is black. so it has a good contrast in the car.
here's a photo of the RRX seats I recently bought. so in about 5 months I'll be receiving a white vinyl version of the same seat.

wanted to follow up/close this thread by sharing my result. I ordered a pair of RRX seats which are reclinable with a fifth slot, white with black stitching. they can do red, blue, gray, with any combination of stitching and logo. like, you can have the logo hidden by specifying the same color for it. so I'm very pleased with how this turned out. this is not a Z but wanted to share the result anyway. I have a pair of black/red RRXs in my Z. wish I'd known about this custom option before I ordered them because I would have changed a few details.

p.s. it only took them 3 months rather than 6. ordered on 10/31/22, received around 02/01/23.

Those are sharp. I have been running a set of Corbeau RRS for quite a while. I contacted them again recently to try and get a more breathable option, as the vinyl gets super hot in the warmer months. Unfortunately, that's where the options really end. If I could get the RRS in a sport cloth center with suede bolsters I'd be thrilled. Color options are nice, but the vinyl not being breathable will get old after a while.

The RRX is a far superior seat. I have an RRS set that I used in my 350Z last year and there's no 5th buckle slot and the side bolsters are weak. there are plaid cloth options also available with the RRX. check it out.
