Default I LOVE my seats!

I agree with all the positive feed back on this thread. I have had mine in for 45 days or about 700 miles and as far as I'm concerned every Z out there would benefit from this idea, especially the Touring( Leather Seats)model.I also agree with puting the bladder behind the foam with some kind of solid support behind it and the pump on the out side. I rest mine in the very back of the side seat tray,EZ to reach but vertually unoticeable. So, as soon as I get my KONIS, I think I'll be a "happy camper".

Add another satisfied customer. Had mine installed a couple weeks back while replacing the back seat cover.

I wish I had known about this months ago! I've tried a variety of cushions and supports, not yet having found exactly what I need. Based on the feedback on this thread...I ordered the pair (not always in the drivers seat). This seems to be exactly what I've tried to find in automobile supply stores and back care stores...

Also, just a note: I have in fact tried numerous cushions and am currently using one that works pretty well. But I've also found with the cushions that placing between the foam and the metal springs in the back rest works much better. It would make sense to me that positioning the bladder there would work better as well. Plus, it won't interfere with the seat heaters...I'll give my 2c when they arrive and are installed..

Thumbs up

I've had mine a few months now and they are excellent, never loses any air can adjust to do exactly the pressure I need. I ended up placing mine just behind the heated seat membrane and the foam of the seat I found that the best overall.

The Touring model I have has an adjustable Lumbar Support **** on the outside of each seat. Is this something that was not available before? Or, do you have this and are unhappy with it?

Just ordered the inflatable lumbar support cushion too. This aircraft parts co. is probably wondering WTH is going on. This sounds better than the lumbar support that's in the z now. For me, the stock lumbar support does more harm than good. Hopefully, this mod will help.

My g/friend had lower back surgery several years ago & gets uncomfortable after about 1.5 hours in the Z; these have really made long trips with her more pleasureable, for both of us. Thanks for the post.

You might want to try adjusting that **** and see what it dose. If its lumbar support I want to know where you bought your car and what model it is.

are you sure that **** isnt for seat height?

for those who got these with the leather seats....will this stretch the leather? Im worried about long term problems.

...THis reminds of the new M3's which have adjustable air bladders. i think this is a great idea Nissan should have considered.

I've had mine installed in my touring leather seats for about a year now with no problems.

There is a little caveat people should watch for. I have a set installed in my MPV, which sits outside all the time. When the weather gets really hot (last week here in SoCal), I noticed the bladder had a tendency to "swell." Probably not a good idea to keep high air pressure in it when parked in the sun!

Default Lumbar!

Oh yeah, I love you guys and this forum - just received mine and it's the perfect solution (I'm a lumbar cripple - low altitude ejection from a burning jet many years ago).

drj - you need to get a kickback from Spruce for the business. Since that's entirely unlikely, thanks from a middle aged bent guy for the original lead, and the rest of you for the follow-ups and good ideas.

I also ordered the lumbar support now for the installation. I have a touring with leather seats, I understand they unzip from the rear and I suppose you streach them from the right side and somehow slide the lumbar bubble to the midway or bottom of the seat back. How did you position the pump so it is outside of the upholstering for use. also when you pump up the rubber does your leather have enough streach so as not to do harm to the leather? How difficult was it to restreach the leather and rezip when putting back together? Thanks

Its really no problem.Move your seat all the way forward, tip the seat back forward. Unzip both sides on the back(hardest part rounding the zipper from the under side)Unfasten the slide- in plastic holder, move the material out of your way. There is really no streching.Position the bladder from the back behind the foam and support it from behind with a firm piece of cardboard or something so it doesn't push against the metal areas.Thread the pump bulb and supply line between the seat and seat back, lower outside corner. I rest mine at the back of the seat tray. It takes VERY little to fill the bladder sufficiently to get comfortable.Take NOTE as you go and it will go back together real easy.Don't expect to be doing any kind of real streching, you'l see.
PUMP AND ENJOY
