Finally! Seibon VS Carbon Fiber Hood Pics!!
Got the hoodpins installed today. Hood is held down much tighter. I couldn't be happier with the job done by Mr. Spoiler, down in Manassas, VA.
Check it out for yourself...
Check out this clear pic of the weave on the hood. It's flawless.

Wow! Awesome Hood!
I wanted that hood also but wanted to see some picutres on a Z.
Now you have it!
Post some more pictures!

Is the hood pin required? Is it not secure enough? I don't like how the hoodpin looks so I don't wanna put it on...
Thanks.
The hoodpins are not for appearance. Hoodpins are highly recommended for any aftermarket hoods, some websites won't even sell their hoods unless you buy the hoodpins.
After getting my hoodpins installed, the hood is held down much tighter.
There were some very minor fitment issues, such as my left side being higher than the right side, but the hoodpins now fixed it. There is more tension of the left hoodpin lock than the right now, much more, but that's the point, to hold it down tightly.
Overal I can't be happier. Small fitment issues, but it was worth it in the end as you can see. I paid close to $800 for the hood + $150 for installation/customizing the hood slightly, and $30 for hoodpins. So if you want to do this, do it right and spend the extra cash getting it profressionally done. Looks MUCH cleaner.
I am considering painting some of the hood to make it even more unique.. I'll let you guys know if I decide to do that.
PS - As far as hoodpins are concerned, remember it's not about looks, it's about safety. Plus, IMO, the make the car look a lot more aggressive.

Thanks again to Fusion Manufacturing (Wicked4u2c) and Mr. Spoiler down in Manassas for supplying the hood and the installation!

All I can say is I'm extremely happy with this hood. I head some comments on how they thought this style wouldn't look that good on the Z, but based on that last picture, I beg to differ.
For the price, the quality is amazing, and I have NO regrets with this mod. I remember MONTHS ago, if not almost a year, I was looking into getting this type of hood custom made for around $1000, and now that I finally have it, I couldn't be happier.
Thanks Wicked4u2c

the hood looks awesome! that has always been my favorite style hood.
what is the reason that aftermarket hoods need the hood pins? do they not latch on like the stock hood would or is it just that the fitment is never exactly right?

It's both. The hood latch clip was slightly short, but EASILY can be fixed just by rasing the latch by just slightly rotating all the 3bolts, raise it up, and retighten. Takes 1 minute.
Also, fitment is never perfect, no matter how much you spend, or how big name company is. So in my case my left side was SLIGHTLY (about 1cm) higher than the right side. The hoodpins perfected it.
But it was mainly just for safety. I don't want to take and risks with such an rich looking hood, which isn't even produced anymore. I drive pretty fast sometimes, so it's nice not to worry about anything happening at high speeds. Not to mention it does look cool IMO, makes front end look more aggressive
