Default 04 Nav gauges

I'm looking to fit a couple of gauges in the cubby hole of my 04 350z. I've bought the reen carbon plate that needs chopping to fit my cubby hole.
Is there a guide anywhere about how to take the cubby out? I cant seem to find anything, and dont want to make a mistake and wreck my new dash.
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Nice choice on the reen plate, that is the method that I went with.

I have to modify it, to fit my cubby hole, as the 04 is different. Just taken out the centre console so I can measure up properly.
Gauges should look sweet once their in.
