Default Best way to remove the stock spoiler

My car came with the aero package and I have been wanting to upgrade to the Nismo spoiler. What is the best way to remove the stock spoiler without damaging the hatch.

Default Removing stock spoiler.......

1) Remove inside hatch plastic trim (pulls out) - prepare to replace a few plastic snaps - they DO break sometimes
2) Remove 2 nuts from inside - they are lined up with the holes in the metal on either side of the hatch. Be careful - put some "stickey" on the inside of your socket so you don't drop the nut inside the void of the inner & outer metal skins of the hatch
3) Pull spoiler off - attached with 2way tape so pull hard!
4) Clean off tape residue
5) Seal the 4 holes in your hatch (just some tape will do if you want)
6) Replace w/spoiler that covers the 4 holes in the hatch

a blow dryer works real good, heat up the 3m tape a pull evenly up on it. the heat will loosen up the tape and it will come off without much trouble. removing the sticky crap thats left is another story

Thanks for the post, I was thinking about doing the same thing, but was not sure how to go about doing it.

What's safe to use to remove the "sticky crap"?
