I recently bought eyelids for my Z off of eBay. They came in black which matches my car's black paint. I have a few questions:

1) I heard you have to get the eyelids painted, but can I assume the black paint on the eyelids are the same color/quality as the black on my car. Is it worth getting done at a shop?

2) How do I install them?

3) If I ever decide to remove them, will I be able to?

I think it depends on how well the eye lid colour (without painting) matches your car body colour. If they match fine, then I don't think you will need to paint them at all, probably just give them a clear coat will do.

Normally people will use double sided tape (preferred the 3M one as they are quite strong) to adhere the eye lids to the head lights. You should not have any problem removing them in the future.
