Default For Someone with a readily available stock **** in front of em!!!

I was wondering how far down the the steel rod of the shifter goes into the ****. could someone like stick a popsicle stick or something into their remove stock ****, mark how far in it goes till its flush with the arches at the bottom of the ****.

Im asking this because i an wondering if the **** i bought is going to be down lower than the stock ****. I dont wanna remove the stock **** if this aftermarket one is going to sit higher up than the stock **** does.

Thanx a bunch to anyone who helps me out.

Your friend,

Bryan-

I put a toothpick in the outside tip is perfectly flush with the bottom with the ****... if that helps. Diamond brand toothpick, round.

The toothpick is exactly 2.5", but the very inner tip of the **** is more pointed and the shaft in the car doesn't go up quite that far. FYI
