Default Who has good body kit prices? Paint?

Anyone got some advice on body kit sellers(online)/in Texas? Experiences?

I really like the INGS+1 half kit and the amuse vented fenders (don't crucify me for that one).

How much does it usually cost to get a whole aero kit painted?

I am really new to the whole body kit thing so I need a place to start.

Thanks,
JasZ

If you walk into a body shop ... you're gonna get charged ~$1500 to paint and install a body kit.

The alternative would be to attempt it yourself but that's going to come out looking terrible. I know of many people with various cars that have attempted to do kits themselves and I've never seen one that looks as good as a properly installed body shop kit.

Do it right and pay once or do it wrong and pay at least twice.

(i.e) I just got an estimate to get the Veilside V1 body kit and Data Systems rear spoiler prepped, painted, and installed (including refinish and paint whole front bumber facia). Two estimates (1) $2,724.58 (2) $2,356.35.

My guess before estimates was around $1,500, but it turns out I was way off. Any ideas?

wow. that's insane for paint and prep work. i'd try to get some recomendations from a friend that's had a body kit painted/installed in your local area. try to find a hookup - paying 'retail' pricing on paint/body work is a good way to go broke. maybe try doing the prep work yourself. so that all that needs to happen when you drop of your kit is for them to spray the pieces.

i am getting my bumper and one fender refiberglassed and reforming the parts that were broken off, repainting both fenders, bumper, blending the paint onto the doors, buffing all the painted body pieces + both headlights by somebody that is considered one of the best painters in houston ... for $200.

why would repaint the whole front bumper just to install a V1 lip?
Unless that included the fenders too (first post said it did, second did not).

Should not be any more than $1000 to $1500 to paint and install the above IMHO. Especially if you get the urethane V1 kit - there is little prep work involved (scuff, clean and paint). The front lip and rear lips take no time to install.

Same goes for the DS spoiler - its very nice quality, takes about an hour to prep and about 15 minutes to install once painted.

I cannot comment on the quality of the Amuse fenders, as we have not seen or installed them yet.

Z1 - I want to get the whole front bumper repainted because it has a bunch of chips nicks etc. in it. Figured I'd get that done with all the other things getting painted.
