Thanks..whats orange peel? yes its factory paint. I took the photos in macro mode so maybe that caused the paint to look weird. Dunno it looks normal to me so I can't tell lol.

I just waxed it yesterday..I think this photo is in normal mode, i switched back after the closeups I think.

I'm sure he was just kidding. Orange Peel is the rippling look from pic. Usually caused from sh*ty body work. Z Ya ! FLZ

Our cars have plenty of orange peel from the factory. That close up just makes it really obvious.

Nice antenna!

Looks good. The factory antenna is just ridiculously long and it moves too much at higher speeds. By the way, it's called orange peel because it resembles the skin of an orange. Personally, I think it makes the car's paint flow better instead of a flat, plain surface that you see on wet sanded cars.

Default Stainless Shorty

I installed the little shorty and guess what? No reception, Duh. Neat little trick worked though. I put a lead spacer then screwed it on. Don't know why, but reception is absolutely perfect.

Do you have a picture of the lead spacer that you were talking about? I've got the same antenna, but I took it off because the poor receptions, But if I could get it working again, I might put it back on.

I have the same one that you guys are talking about . . .I dont think the reception is that bad . . .but like others I really only listen to XM now. I have it on the shortest link too. I think it came with 3 different length centers. Have you tried the different lengths?

I do like yours, Rushguy. Very nice looking.
