Default Spacer info

Wish I could technically explain. I just used a lead washer, very thin, might work with other metals too. Adjusted(fine tuned), shaft and I believe everyone will get it. Also you can't see spacer. I DON'T believe that it would only work on my car. I also had no reception before. Good luck to all. FLZ

Here's my little shorty antenna.. I got it from Courtesy Nissan..
http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchan...=TWN-ANTENNA-S

Reception is actually not bad, very close to stock and I don't have a lead washer stuck in there either...The product description says it's aluminum but it looks chromed to me...

Sorry for the dark pic .. I'll take another during the day if there is a request..

Hey Mike, Whats up? Got my shorty from Courtesy too. Different type though. Believe me when I tell you nothing but **^&^%,static with my model. Don't understand why that is , or why I got lucky throwing a spacer in there works? All I know is that I like the looks of mine and it works just fine. Just trying to help others. By the way I like your antenna also. Z Ya! Dave

Hi Dave, I really expected the worst when I got this antenna but I was very pleasently surprised that I actually got decent reception! I only wish it looked a little bit more "aluminum" like the advertised picture..

This antenna looks like it already has a lead washer built in...maybe that's it's secret.. LOL!

Did anyone stop to think that reception, although is mainly due to the car's antenna, is also influenced by the radio broadcast. Maybe these antenna's work in different parts of the country and not in others because there is more of a signal to pick up?

I don't really know, but being from MA I think I'll get the one leemik has when I finally take delivery of mine in Aug.

Good point HIP. I'm in South Florida....Real flat down here. Although, when I first changed mine out, Nothing but STATIC. The washer is nothing special. Just played around with it until, sweet sounds came chiming through. Z Ya! Dave
