Default V1 kit + Data System - estimates

I just got an estimate to get the Veilside V1 body kit and Data Systems rear spoiler prepped, painted, and installed (including refinish and paint whole front bumper facia). Two estimates
(1) $2,724.58 (2) $2,356.35.

Does this sound right? Thanks in advance.

sounds way high to me. i have the same set up already. i will install my data systems spoiler on friday afternoon or saturday morning. The spoiler is getting painted along with some other engine pieces. i paid $270 to get the VS ver. 1 kit painted. I installed it myself, it wasn't hard at all. also, I didn't have the whole front bumper painted either. The painter tells me that my Z's color is expensive to buy [PPW(QX1)] so yours being chrome silver i would say......$1000 tops for everything. at least that is what i would pay if i wasn't planning on doing anything myself. save yourself some money and install the kit with a friend. i'll get a price on the spoiler and engine pieces tomorrow. my total cost will still be nowhere near $2,400.

Thanks. Your Z looks great!

I think I can install these parts myself and may go that route. My kit (veilside or data systems) didn't come with any double sided tape. Where can I buy this stuff?

I'm thinking about just having a shop refinish and paint the front bumber and paint the body kit and return it to me and I'll install that myself with a friend.

That is far, far too high. Is that including the price of the parts or something? I would be expecting something maybe closer to $1000-1400.

Does not include price of parts. I bought the v1 kit from 350Zforums and the data system spoiler from bulletproof. I'm going to get a few more estimates at some other shops in the area. I also think that I should be able to get it done for $1200-1400.

Oh, the Veilside V1 is a replica kit? That could change things quite a bit.

Traffic. What are you talking about? The veilside v1 kit is veilside and NOT replica. Veilside stickers on the inside of the pieces and veilside raised in the fiberglass on the front and rear pieces. The quality and fit of these pieces is excellent.

My kit (veilside or data systems) didn't come with any double sided tape. Where can I buy this stuff?
both my data systems spoiler and VS ver. 1 kit came with doublesided tape. however if your stuff didn't, you can buy 3M doublesided tape (aka molding tape) at walmart. It is located where the spray paints are. In my experiences 3M product's have always worked as advertised. great stuff, wouldn't use anything else! the tape cost like @$4.50 for a 1/2in X 60in roll.

btw, i'll post pics of my data systems spoiler install on sunday or monday night. the painter won't be able to get to my spoiler until saturday maybe even sunday. My borla TD will be here on monday!!! I should be able to install that tuesday night.
