My girlfriend bought me a Veilside Carbon Fiber front lip(v1) from one of the vendors on this board, ill leave them nameless because simply it is not their fault, its Veilside. She bought me the lip back in December, they said late Feb (15-20), around came Feb, still no front lip. We called the vendor who gave us Veilsides number and we promptly called them to ask where our stuff was. Veilside said something about back orders, and having worked in retail i knew how this was so i had no problem with waiting another month or so. He gave us a estimate (Early April), so i had no problem waiting AGAIN since April is around my birthday and i thought it would be a nice Birthday/Christmas present :P, so here we are at the end of April, 2 hours from May and still no lip... Im fed up now!! I want my carbon fiber lip damn it! Im just wondering how many of you have waited this long (roughly 4 months)? Does anyone else think this is a bit long?

 

last i checked VS was back ordered...

but... I can check again on monday and drop it off to you in fullerton if they have it...

 

I'm used to dealing with really long wait times for my parts. I waited about 5 months for my TE37s (not Volk's fault, the vendor I chose, R&D Motorsports, really fcuked me over), VS front lip took something around 2 months, kg/mm springs were 7 weeks... just the way it is ordering JDM parts sometimes.

 

Bah, a little over 4 months now... no response from vendor or Veilside, gettin angry

 

I checked all of our orders and don't see an outstanding one so I sincerely hope it wasn't me.

I just recently bought all the V1 lips they had in stock, so if you would like to get one from me I can get it for you very quickly.

FYI, Veilside has had them in stock a few weeks so the vendor you bought it from may not be telling you everything or may not be direct with Veilside to know exactly what is going on. Good luck with it though and please let me know if I might be able to help you out in some way.

I ordered GReddy side skirts in Feb and they are still on backorder. I've heard nobody has them in stock, and GReddy is giving ship dates to suppliers of early June.

I ordered a Veilside hood from Bulletproof Auto. They told me it would be a couple weeks since it had to come over in the next container. Then they called me the next day saying they located one at their warehouse. It was at my door a few days later. Great service...

Ordered my Wald rear wing in Nov.
It showed up 2 weeks ago.
I ordered the 2nd Greddy front lip in Jan - still not here.
SSR wheels - ordered in nov. showed up in april.

They will do you right. I ordered my Veilside CF lip from them a while back - it showed up quickly and in good shape.

When I smashed the CF one a couple of weeks ago, I ordered the urethane one from them and it showed up in just a few days.

BTW - the urethane lip I just got comes with the doublesided tape already installed. And not just in the center, but along the whole thing. Nice.

 

Never again will I do business with them......

 

I placed an order with veilside in late December of 2002 and recieved all my stuff in late July of 2003. I was pissed off too and this was when it first came out , but I still had to wait till late July to get it. But it was well worth it now that I have them on my car.
