Default Stripping my interior... well most of it...

When I get back to california and if I get some time this week. I am going to strip my entier interior from the back of the seats and back...

ALl of the plastic, foam dampning, and all of that... So all those parts will be up for grabs ($)...

I want to keep the cockpit as everyday drivable as possible... however... I am thinking of taking out the carpeting and either leaving it stripped or getting some kind of diamond plated metal mats (but I think they weight too much)...

I want to take the interior roof off but dont know what is under it... is it ugly? my roof is stained..

The Center where the shifter is I want to cut off the portion that has the shift boot so i can leave the AC controlls or re-locate the AC controlls to inside the nav door... and then take out that middle plastic piece that has the coin holder etc... i like the look of the black rubber shift boot better...

what do you all think?

who wants to come help

Punch & Pie...

Will you sell this part? I had to trim it to fit my custom sub box. Would be nice if I have a full piece if I have to sell the car.

I already stripped all my rear interiors(spare tire, plastics etc.)looks ugly but oh well .......
I want to light weight my car....but its almost impossible to save weight in the front...which makes the car a LITTLE off balance.
Next i want to relocate my batteries to the back.

Default I'll take it all.

I am in Los ANgeles and actually I came into Performance and pickedup some touch up paint on Saturday.

I have been looking for all of the rear paneling and rear strut bar for a while because all of mine have gotten pretty scratched up.

I have been calling junk yards for a front end damaged car for about 6 months.

I can come by and pick it up today.

Please let me know.

may I suggest 24 lbs lighter than stock drycell battery
https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....threadid=73152

It probably not making sence to move it in the back, since to run big fat wire there will almoust double the weight.

Please please post total weight savings. As well as pictures of how everything look after.

Any idea how much front fenders weight? Is replacing with cf worth it to balance weight off the back?

Umh... did you read my post?

Optima you suggested weight 27 lbs (only 8.5 lighter than stock)and costs $130.

I installed Odyssey PC545 which weights 11.5 lbs (24 lighter than stock) and costs $80 together with adapter terminals you'll need.
