How much should a body shop charge to paint and install a front lip and a wing???

I need some rough estimates so I make sure I don't get ripped off.

Are you kidding me? Just to paint two little pieces and stick them on?

How much can I save if I install the pieces myself? $4-500 is nuts. I remember painting a whole car for $1000 10 years ago. Am I getting that old?

install on a wing and lip is minimal, i doubt that it will save you too much. 400-500 is a ridiculous price, i get my entire car painted for that much. but if you walk into any bodyshop off the street that's what you're going to get charged, on average most shops about 80-90$/hour ++ .... i figure about 2.5 hours prep, 1.5 paint .5 hour install + tax.

i've always said this ... if you're into the import scene/cars, make friends with mechanics/painters/etc ... it saves you a lot of money down the road
