He said Earl Sheib I had a friend that went to them and he had a crapy car but wanted to fix it up, anyways he told them he wanted the engine bay painted too ,they said cool they can do that...well when he went to pick it up he said it looked pretty good for a cheap paint job until he opened the hood and saw that they painted over everything: intake, master cylinder, all the wires, battery, valve covers, even the damn oil and transmission dip sticks. It was sick

^^^^Not surprised!

I had a friend have his POS Acura Integra painted at One-Day Paint and Body. He got the DELUXE or PRESIDENTIAL paint....I swear, you could stratch than stuff off with a fingernail. I could have done a better job with a few cans of Krylon!

Wow $1900 to paint. And to think that I was going to get this body kit or a fiberglass body kit. Now I have to think twice about it. Wanted to know can it be done for $1000? I know.." you get what you pay for", but $1900?

Sorry guys....I spend an hour drooling over the quality of the work...and the shop owner and his buddies were all gathering around admiring their handiwork.

I have one word for what has just occured..................PERFECTION!!!! My jaw is permanently dropped at the quality and look of the work. It is flawless.....check out the pics. And yes...it matches the stock color perfectly...no blending was needed.

I need to realign the left muffler...it was off center prior to installing the body kit.....and now it's a priority to get straight, since I dont wanna melt my shiny new paint!

Comments??

thanks guys! I just finished realigning the muffler so it looks straight now. I am very pleased with the look. I have been staring it every chance I get. I'm getting even more thumbs ups while driving.

The front lip is really low. About 3 inches off the ground, so I have to be careful...but I havent scraped on anything yet. He also put 3 coats of color and 3 coats of clear, so it's really thick and durable paint....I hope it holds up well!

No, I have no plans for a spoiler becuase I havent found one that I like. I sorta like the clean look of sans spoiler for now.

I'm taking some more pics this weekend, with a better backdrop...so stay tuned for some better glamour shots. Ijust need a model to pose with the car....to top off the look!

More I think about it...$1900 seems fair, given the amount of work and labor he put in, and he had to trim the front bumper 3 inches to accomodate the intercooler.....I am satisfied.

Ho Ho Ho...now thats a ride! That front bumper sets your intercooler well. Too bad I cant see it in person. Cant make it to the run tomorrow.
Careful pulling those turns!

H O T!
