Default blue batmobile's interior overlay pieces. what pieces would you like to see him make?

if you havent already, please checkout bluebat's guagepod overlay kits in a thread located in this same section. very hot new item! he is currently working on some more interior overlay pieces and im sure hes getting mobbed with numerous requests for particular overlay pieces for the interior. post here the item that you would like to have colormatched or carbonfiber(look) to accent the interior of your z. the items that guage the most interest will most likely be made by him so lets let him know what were really interested in! he made the guage pod recess overlays wich guaged interest in the pod top covers as well. so hes working on that now.............heres a link to his recent guage od overlays:
https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....threadid=81878

ill start it out: id like to have the inner black plastic doorhandle/window switch panels to have overlays. these are the 15" long by 3" wide ugly black plastic pieces on each interior door panel. i figued these in carbonfiber or colormatched to other interior overlay pieces in the interior would really dressup the interior & pull things together for a more organized look!

thanx,
-justin

I'd like to see the switch panel also, think it would be a nice touch. Also, the curved piece where the door handle is. Glad to hear he is working on the top of the guages.

what about the little black plastic piece behind the door pull on the inside? some overlays for that might looks nice, i'd have to see it first though.

bluebat, if you do reply to some questions about colors i have another for you. some of the z owners here i talked with questioned possible burnt orange overlays to pull the seats together more on the orange interior z's....think theres a possibility on a match there? i was thinking the brighter color may cause problems with glare on the guages making them unreadable under some conditions.....but wanted to ask anyways.

also, while driving my z today i realized that the 2 inner a/c vents right outside of the center guage pods are also cheap black plastic pieces that would be nice matched with the guage pod overkays....just a thought!

Have you ever thought about an overlay for the exterior door handles?

Maybe a rear strut center panel overlay? Hell that'd be a P.I.T.A. to apply...I can't imagine tracing a template for it.

Interior:

Honestly, all I want are the 3 gauge barrels. The gauge pods themselves.

And the door vent barrels (Anticipating these the most)
and I'll be a happy camper until the soundsystem is installed!

Nice. I decided not to do cf finish, only because it doesn't stand out enough on our black dash.

oh man, im like an emotional disaster case, lol. 1st im excitec that bats doing the door barrels then im bummed that theres not going to be any cf pieces i thought that was a big selling point for the overlays!

ive seen those cf pieces before that maximumsportz had posted a link to before. if i remember correctly he posted an ad in the inventor classifieds. honestly i thought that bats articulation would impose a quality looking piece that would look as good if not better than the actual cf pieces at an extremely pleasing price due to the materials used.........

bat, im truely looking for the cf look & would love to give you my business. i honestly think the overlay would have better succes due to its adhesive capabilities. its not like a decal would ever come off if heat softened the adhesive like an actual cf piece. no snag areas or places where it looks like an "ad on" piece to do not perfect contouring. i believe the vinyl decal would have more of a natural finish as if the pieces were originally designed that way........any possibility hat there may be a dark grey/silver type cf vinyl that would appear more natural on a black surface?

hehe, I think you misinterpreted my above post. I meant doing a cf Vinyl Overlay on my car's gauge pods. It's still available as an option, just didn't want to go that route for me.
