I'd like to remove the Z badge on my rear strut cover for a new project I'm working on, but how easy is it to remove?

I did it myself to paint the cover. The 'Z' is held inplace my several plastic post. It seems after the Z is put in, heat is applied to mushroom out the posts to hold the Z in.
To take off the Z you have to take off the STB cover to get at the ends of the posts. This requires no tools. Gently work off the plastic covers on either side of the STB cover. Then you will have to pull back the panel facing the rear and the front. Then you may take off the main trim piece.
Once I had that done I put the panel face down and used a nail clipper to snip off the mushroomed ends of the posts. The Z comes right out after you do that.
Just be carefull pulling off the other panels. You dont want to break the other fasteners.
