Default How to remove center dash

I got my skipping Bose stereo replaced by the dealer and they didn't push all the clips in properly on the center dash piece they removed. How does this thing come off?

I looked at the manual and it shows the tab on top, four clips on either side of the radio, two screws under the mat in the nav box. The dealer left the top tab NOT under the dash and the top two clips not engaged, they are mis-aligned now. I can see where they are suposed to clip in. I lift and pull back on the shifter cover and it shows the two lower bolts that hold the stereo in and two lower bolts that attached the center shifter/drink holder piece to the dash. Removing the nav compartment screws reveals the two top 10mm bolts that hold the stereo to the dash.

So, only the two nav compartment screws and the two lower clips near the stereo are holding the center dash piece on.

So I pull hard near the clips and try as I might, I can't remove it. I surely don't want to break this piece as it must be some coin to replace.

Taking it to the dealer is the obvious thing but this is a 5 min fix and nothing is damaged (yet?) and I don't want to drop the car off and be without for the day just for this simple thing.

Any help is appreciated.

check this link for how the center panel is attached and how remove it.. pretty simple, undo some the screws and put the top part under the dash.. would not reccomend pulling on the top while its still held down by the screws, would likely result in something breaking

Ah, a PDF of Scaf's thing from way back. I'd just saved the web page, but this is useful. I just had the web page I'd saved pulled up yesterday.
