I think we removed ~4 - 5 inches. We didn't take exact measurements. Just lined it up to the top of the I/C.
We still have a surging problem but we're going to play with another BOV. I think the one we're using has minor problems.
That's C-West rear add on's molded onto the stock bumper with the lights filled in. I got flamed for filling in those lights on this forum but it looks damn good/custom in person.
you might be hurting yourself. you opened it up too much, now the air can easily flow around the IC rather then through it. to make it truely functional, form a shroud from the bumper to the intercooler forcing all the air to pass through it.
