I don't think it is rice, I don't know where you would get that this is rice. I think of something being rice when it is so obvious and stands out and really detracts from the car, I think it just adds a different look not worst not better just different.

IMO it ain't rice if it's a stock item. In Japan the Z gets clear... in US it's amber because of different regulations.

So.. being that it's essentially a stock item... no rice factor.

I don't think they look rice at all. I posted pictures of them on my Chrome Silver and everyone seemed to like them (I don't know how to add a link but you can search under "installed white finishers" if interested).
