Well, since you asked...

Dear Jetpilot,

thanks for looking our website. The new listed Altezza style tailights for the 350Z are not produce by us.
It´s a product which comes from Taiwan.
We know that these lights dont are popular in the states. But, since we added these lights to our website, we got approximately 8 pre orders. These customers comes from europe, japan and the states too.

Please understand, this is our business..... If we dont sell these light, everyone will do it.

BUT you can believe, we dont realy like these lights too. We have seen to much of them.

Best Regards

Well they have a point (if they don't sell them, someone else will) and they are in the business of making money. And their honest opinion is commendable IMO

At least they are honest. But as they said, business is business. Ricey stuff sells well, unfortunately.

In some cases, yes. But they make an extremely nice pair of red tail lights for the Celica. Adds a very nice elegant touch over the stock red and orange ones.

Wonder who will be the first sponsor to sell these.
I'm close with TYC's family in Taiwan. I'll let them know. I'll ask them to have the tail lamp inside LED looks like the new E320 LED tail lights. (Just the inner parts) That will be sure not rice at all. The lense will be light smoked. What u guys think. Price EST. $300-$400 a pair. What u guys think?

The problem is... Nissan shouldn't have made the Z so affordable and available in so many trims. The people who buy the Track and Touring model rarely do such sh*tty, ricey things to their cars... it's all the f*cking teenagers that buy the base and enthusiast models that rice them the f*ck out... and thus create a market for such sh*tty products. That's the fact of the matter. Thus, people will buy these products.

I say, bump the Z up to $50,000... and poof! No more ricers. e.g. how may BMW M3's, Porsche 911, etc. (higher end cars) do you see getting riced out? A very small %... that's for sure.

Haven't seen any "riced-out" Z's anywhere either (have seen some questionable upgrades, but no rice... and I live in a metropolitan area with plenty of Z's). Now down the road when the Z's value lowers and the teens are able to afford them in the $10-15K range, then you might start seeing very interesting mods that you can say might be "rice"...

There are many riced out bmw's. Especially now that the e36 m3 is becoming more and more affordable as it gets older. God i hate altezza's, sad day indeed.
