Hey guys I recently found a place that sells PPG paint that is mixed in a shop and packaged in spray cans. They can mix up any color paint that you have the color code for. The question of the day is what color should I paint the engine covers? I have a black nismo intake and chrome max ground wires(the mylar braided covers) under the hood. I also have red painted calipers and the Z is Chrome Silver. I am thinking of doing the engine bay in sunset orange metallic with chrome silver accents (the v6 logo, battery and brake fluid letters, and caps would be CS) What do you guys think? I am also considering painting the intake le mans sunset as well, but that's still up in the air.

Comments and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

 

you have a chrome silver and you want to paint the covers orange? i am trying to picture it, and it doesnt seem like it will come out nice... i could be wrong.

i guess maybe i am just a bit more conservative. i also have a chrome silver, but i was thinking of painting my covers a darker silver. maybe a shade or 2 darker than silverstone, with the lettering in chrome silver.

 

how bout red to match your calipers?
or maybe chrome silver to match your car?

if you paint it orange, i don't think it'll flow or match the rest of the car, imo.

 

You are probably right. How stupid would it be to paint them super black/ chrome silver?
