Default Aftermarket leather with Seat Heater

I just bought aftermarket leather (Katzkin) with seat heaters, and was wondering what the ideal location for the heater switches would be.

I was thinking of putting it in the same place as the OEM switches are, but people complain about accidentally turning them on when shifting gears.

What would be an ideal location?

I've got seat heaters, and I never accidentally turn them on... but I'm 6'3", and I can see where less height would put people's elbows near the switches.

Are you DC or Washington state?

Thanks for the response Rahtok.

I am only 5'11", so I could be classified as a "shorty". My elbow does rest in the area where the dual cupholder is , so this may not be an issue after all. Good to know that you have no issues with the OEM location.

Originally I was thinking of putting the switches on the side of the seat. Since you have no problems, I will rethink the location.

BTW, I am in Washington state.

Oh and here is what the aftermarket seat heater/switch looks like (Carbotex):
