hehe, no you heat it up in the oven to get the adhesive that holds the headlight assembly together more supple, this way you can pry the assembly apart & remove the amber reflector. then stick it back together & hope it seals up good enough!

WOW that is a great job! Now, did you cook the headlight with the light bulbs in it? Because from the pictures, it looks like the light bulbs are still within the head light?
I'm planning to clear it this weekend as well, but trying to debate whether to use oven or the heat gun? I will also paint part of them black and insert the new Ares Clear stripe as well.
