Default JDM/US Nismo Body Kit installation countdown!

Hey everyone

I am FINALLY going to be getting my new front/sides installed this weekend.

It has been about 4 months since "the incident" .... and Jason and Perf. Nissan are gonna finally bring my baby back to life

So this saturday, I will be getting the japaneese version front replacement bumper and the US nismo sides. The jury is still out on the rears and the wing yet ... so that will be another time.

However, soon I look forward to posting pics of my baby ... you don't know how sad or annoying its been waiting to post pics after some of the mods I have done here, but in the end (this sat) I will be sooo happy to post some HUGE new wallpapers for everyone

I am attaching some before pics ... and a huge photo shoot is sure to follow this weekend.

After this, the Brembos are getting a nice coat of candy red paint, the headliner and a-pillars are getting black suede, and I am doing a full fiberglass of the trunk/hatch ... including dual 12s, amps and NX .... all to be completed in time for the Mossy show in Nov.

Thanks for lookin'
Jim

Default Similar here.........

My new US Nismo front lip, sides skirts & rear unders from Jason came in yesterday & the paint started today. Keeping the low profile Nissan OEM rear spoiler on for now - kinda anxious to see how it looks with the aeros - I think the "low-slung" look of the OEM spoiler will fit nicely with the "lowered" look the body kit will give. The Nismo suspension kit is being installed tomorrow as well & after it settles in a few weeks, should look fine for me with the 20mm drop & body kit. We'll see...........

Good choice on the front bumper. I got the same one, just need some $$$ to get it painted. Right now it is in the attic collecting dust...

NX is here. Now I am waiting on MSD, and some more NX goodies.

PS - PM me where you got your plugs from, I don't think I want to run 2-step colder ones.

Well ... its on!! .. part of it.....

Unfortunatly the body shop that painted this got confused and painted my sides half black/half silver .. like you see in the thread Jason posted about the yellow ones ... Kinda sucked cause I asked them to check the pieces when they came in to make sure it was all good before I made my 2.5 hr journey up there ... and they said it was all good

Anywho ...

The front looks great I am really happy with it. Fitment could be a tad better, but I had a bit of front end damage before, so I wasn't expecting PERFECT. The paint match looks pretty damn close as well. Overall, I love it. It feels so good to drive around again and not worry if someone is on your "bad" side

I have decided for now to just not add the sides for a while. I really like the agressive look of the fronts and the clean lines of the sides. Besides, I don't want to have another shade of silver for the sides. Silver is pretty hard to match and I dont want to risk not getting it right this time. But I really like the look without the sides for now. Maybe the wrong painting was a message from above.

Overall, it was a pretty good experience, and the guys up at Perf., Alex, Abraham and Rick took care of me nicely on Saturday ... even got a free ride to the mall while I waited (Jason's lucky a** was at VIR for the weekend!!)

Jim
- will post more pics when I get to work and find a digicam worht a damn

Glad you like the front bumper!

I know that body shop does quality work so I dont always inspect the whole piece if it is wrapped up and in a box (like the side skirts). We do not really have much room to have painted body parts laying around and people dropping a motor mount on them or something (happens :-/ ) So I didnt want to wrisk opening up the box any more and seeing what was inside besides a color on the corner that matched...

glad you got it installed though and are happy with it... If you want the side skirts stil just let me know and I can have them dropped off to you if you do not want to make the drive up...

From the little pic in your sig the car looks hot!
