Just got cleared headlight strips - Best guide/practices??
I just got my cleared headlight strips and I want to install them and at the same time paint my headlight surrounds black. I've done some searching around on this and I was wondering what the most comprehensive guide for this procedure.
I've seen different paints used from high temp to plastikote laquer and I have no idea what the differences are. Anyone know the best paint to use in the headlight housing?
Anyone know the best silicone sealant to use resealing the headlight to prevent moisture?

So far, the only place Ive seen them is the custom ones that Ares made. Is that where you got yours also?
Hey Bat, if you manage to find a place that sells them, can you let me know also? Thanks.
I got them from a guy that was on the original list for the strips from Ares so no help there.
I was thinking that someone could make their own from the plastic light cover material that is used on home and office flourescant lights.

thought about that. never really did try it though. kinda like trying to lay a round ball flat; or vice versa. so it might end up with some unwanted bends. plus cutting it would be a PITA. but I do beleive its doable. I have a sheet in my workroom that I planned on messing with but went the different route. for multiple production it was just too difficult to get right repeatedly.
