Default CF Nismo spoiler installed/painted - pics inside

got my CF Nismo style spoiler on ebay for $285. Quality of finish of the wing is an 8.5 on a 1-10 scale.

Fitment is very good but not perfect.

I had the base and the wing ends painted Daytona Blue. The center portion of the wing was left CF.

I also had them shave the logos while they were at it.

paint match is amazing. perfect match.

Cost for body work to hatch and painting of hatch and wing was $800.

Did you leave the underpart of the wing unpainted as well?

no... only the top center part is left Carbon Fiber.

I'm very happy with the look. I've been getting great comments everywhere I go. Next is an Espirit body kit... but that won't happen for another 6 months or so.

I can take a few pics later today. The line between painted and unpainted is about 1/4" inset from the leading and trailing edges of the wing. So if youre standing looking at the wing, you would not see the mask line.

You would have to get down low and look up underneath to see it.

I'm getting a CF nismo too! I'm going to copy you!

How hard is the prep work to paint on CF?

very little prep.... just hit the areas to be painted with some 400 wet paper, then prime and paint.

fitment was OK, not great. The base had too small of a radius on the curve so the center of thebase sits up about 3/32" in the middle. BUT, I plan to put another bolt there which will pull it down flush.

thanks for the props guys.

Yea you got any more angles of the CF part... I'm about to do the same thing you did. But just want a better look at it.

Thanks for the idea
