Quick Paint Question !!!
i just repainted my Greddy front lip. The body shop painted it 2 months ago, but the paint was chipping like a mother fugger. I just sprayed 4 coats of paint and 4 coats of clear. It has some orange peel in it. My question is , how long do i have to wait to wet sand it, to remove the orange peel ? Then if i wet sand it with 2000 paper, how can i buff it ?, could i buff it by hand ? or do i need a machine ?
Argh! Paint chips on the bumper ... get used used to it. It is a common problem with cars that are low to the grounds and the paint Nissan used doesn't help any.
I would take it to the body shop to get repainted if the chips are really bad. Unless you are a skilled painter, it is a job better left to an experienced body shop. The Greddy lip is urethane if I'm not mistaken. A urethane part requires a paint with alot of prepping and flexant otherwise you will get discoloration, stretch marks and/or paint cracks.
