What did you do with the cruise controls?

Talk to Bob from www.airbagonoff.com for the resistors to get rid of the airbag light. He charges ~$30 shipped.

You can still connect the cruise control, and mount the controller somewhere other than the steering wheel. I didn't bother since I never use it.

Thanks for the site, I'll check it out tomorrow.

Ok, I don't know why nobody has brought this up yet. I haven't found one discussion about how to get rid of the airbag warning light in the forums. There is a yellow adapter and an orange adapter, I don't know what they are for. I will check out the website. Hope they have an answer for me.

Was this the same Momo one that is pictured above which allows you to retain your factory airbag?

Z1 does not have this steering wheel available on their site that I can see.

zlex - after you called I checked with customers yesterday who got the hub from us and there have not been any airbag issues yet...maybe check with whomever you bought it from and ask them what the issue is

What is the best source for that wheel?

Man that looks like an STi steering wheel. I mean almost exactly.

Z-1 I bought the same Splash Wheel Hub but from SP Engineering, I don't know how they could not have the same problem since the airbag kill switch included does not seem to correspond to the factory wires. Maybe neithr myself or my mechanic doesn't understand because the directions are in Japanese? Something we're missing?

I've called SP but they have no idea how to take care of the light.

Sorry to veer off subject but you know what irks me about ordering sometimes? When everything fits, its great but I've found out that a lot of times when things dont fit and you call back for some support, the retailers act like you're incompetent weirdo who can't do things right. I always get the, "O we've sold ________ to other people before and we've never had any problems." Which is irritating.

Adam,

I have the same Splash hub you sell, and the fused resistor that is provided will not work on the North American Z33. I had the instructions translated and the connectors are completely different. I am also told the Japanese airbag sends a different signal than the North American one.

If you know something we don't please prove me wrong, as it will save me $30.

Rapfix (Splash) Short Boss
Nissan 631S

according to my translation, the airbag connectors should be black and white. The US cars have an orange and yellow connector. according to the US service manual wiring diagram the orange is the one that sends the test signal, so assuming that is correct that is the one that needs to be bypassed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, TIA!

Exactly, this is what i've found out as well. There is a yellow and orange connector but the fuse resistor will not patch into them. So now i'm driving around with a blinking airbag light. The best help I've found so far is www.airbagonoff.com as 03z33 previously suggested. You have to print a form from their website, get approved and they will have somebody come and disable the light for $30. I've asked about every person/dealer/shop and this seems to be the only way.

You shouldn't have to fill out any of the federal stuff, just tell them the car is used for show/track use only. They will sell you a crimp resistor.

Can anyone comment or post pictures of the drivers view through the steering wheel. Right now, part of my speedo is obscured. I would imagine that a thicker, and smaller wheel would only make that worst.

Anyone with an aftermarket wheel care to comment?
