What is the brand name of the tow hook?
Is that your Z with the tow hook on?
There's been some controversy about the correct sizes.
I've read where the '03-'04 needs the 16mm
'05 & up 22mm tow hook.
Can you explain?

umm... So I got the Tow Hook today... and it does Not fit my 2003.

PM'd you. Hopefully we can work a refund out, as this is only good to me as a paper weight. I am assuming this is for 06+ ...

 

i had to make mine work....just buy a bolt that threads into the hook, but runs throught the hole also, run it through the back end w/ lock washer/threadlock.... and then its better so nobody can just jack it from u...i pulled the intercooler down on mine,mounted, and there is no way anybody can get it out of there, actually worked out better...GL..

Haha.. thx. yeah, I realize that now, my car was in the shop at the time I paid so I did not get a chance to measure... I believe 2003's need the 16mm tow hook. I will just get one off of ebay unless someone else has one for sale.

-LAW- has offered me a full refund, so I am shipping it back immediately... of course I will eat the shipping. Sucks tho because even if he refunds me immediately, it takes paypal 5-6 days for a refund to clear. oh well Just happy he is nice enough to give me a refund due to the miscommunication.

Taywan - thanks for the advise, I went to the hardware store and spent $5 to see if I could make something work, but i couldnt find the right size bolt, + I want it to actually be secured to my frame incase I need to use it, and I am not sure if a bolt and nut would hold up as well. good advise tho.

It is a nice new tow hook, I like the color... wish it fit Whoever asked the brand, It does no state it on the box, it does state "THA-011-RED 350z/370z"
