The lip is polyurethane, it's very flexible and it fit perfectly on my bumper. I only mounted it, never drove with it on. I decided to go with a different look. This is not a cheap eBay lip, I paid around $250 shipped from VIS. I painted it PPW but I guess the paint didn't have any flex additive cuz it flaked off a little while fitting. No scrapes, scratches, or cracks of any kind on the lip.
