Has the log in process been changed?

I used to be asked to log in as soon as I went to the site. Now I can view the threads, but have to log in to get to my control panel etc.

My settings are still the same. It's just that I get right into the forums without a log in, but when I want to reply etc I have to log in.

No big deal. Was just wondering if they had changed the way people accessed the site.
