You cant. Its not a browser setting. It is a feature that is enabled by the forum admins. You cant turn it on or off. I have seen it before on other boards. Its just something that you'll have to deal with, I guess.

Um, you can technically turn it off. Just go to your browser options and specify that you want to turn javascript off when visiting this site.

Now that will turn off the spam advertisement that the forum owner implemented. But that might turn off other useful things.

For Me, I can't get to the search page because the drop down menu uses javascript. My solution is to bookmark the search page, turn javascript off and whenever I need to go to the search page, just go to bookmarks, it's like doing the dropdown menu anyways.

If your browser doesn't allow javascript specific site assignment, then just turn off javascript when you go to this site.

Hopes this help from a non-leet hacker.

yes.. you could disable your javascript... if this was still 1999... too many sites today rely too much on client side scripting. it would be painfull .. so .. I personally dont see it as a viable option.

Yeah, I'm not sure I really like it. But it doesn't always seem to do it. Why is that?

My Norton antivirus has an option to turn off ads and that removed them for me.
