If space on the forum isn't really an issue and nobody cares if there are tons of useless posts then fine, let him post ***** away with random words from the dictionary and their definition or explain internet lingo. I think a post that is created to explain what "wtf" means is rediculous. It's not like someone asked what it means...he just posted a common thing and explained it.
This thread doesn't need to exsist either...he has been on the forum for a while and should know better...if he really didn't know why his thread was closed, he could have pm'd a mod and asked, but i think it was pretty obvious.

And, btw, I did pm the moderator, not the "mod", which is what I do to my car. But I was not sure if they respond to pm's.

To clear things up for you about the private message dilemma you are facing, NO..."moderators" don't respond to private messages. Once you become a "moderator" all of your private message privileges are taken away.

Ok, I'll give SpideyNW that benefit of the doubt. I'm not gonna dog you, I'll just let you know what message others on the board are trying to relay..
It's not the fact that you opened an Off-Topic subject in the OT. You are correct about that. All non-car related subjects belong in the OT. The problem is rather, how you opened it.
First, I'll give you an example. If you title something "Big *****", people are planning on clicking on the thread and seeing big *****. The context of your thread have to relate to the thread title. You probably would've had better luck if you would've titled it "Forum acronyms". At least people would've known what they were getting into by clicking on the thread. When we see something titled "PWND" or "OWND", we expect to see an example of someone getting owned, not a bunch of random acronyms with no explanation of what subject you're trying to have a discussion about.
Naturally, to you, you already have a preconcieved notion of what you want to discuss. To everyone else, we have no clue what you would like to discuss because the thread title and it's context were extremely vague. Natural reaction in a tough environment like the OT is, "WTF! Why did I waste my time clicking on this $hit!". Usually this is followed by an instinctive comment of, "Can I have the last minute of my life back" or the classic "Ban!".
I can see you been around awhile, so I'm sure you know how the forum works. Just do like Kobean says, think twice...post once. You'll be ok bro.

As to replies, I was hoping to see if some people had never seen lawl or QQ and if they would think that they were about as stupid as I think they are. Pretty much, a discussion about internet lingo.
