haha so true! the ladies only section really isn't used all that much. and i dont think anyone really asked for it in the first place. admin thought it would be nice since there is a lot of other forums that have it.

 

Take a look at my earlier post, I suggested a mod clean up the non picture posts in there. Nay-Nay wanted to keep the posts because of "good convo"

I just think it would be nice if some of the earlier pages were cleaned up of the non picture posts.

It's just that this reminds me of the 5 official morning threads that got started once a week, when those are now incorporated into the useless thread. Less clutter in OT.

 

Save the last couple of pages for comments, compliments, leghumpings etc. But the posts that are a week or two old can go unless they contain pics. I mean I never go back and read my old posts in threads like that and the useless thread. It's just banter.

i understand your concern here, but along the same lines i can say that we don't need 50000000 'i totalled my z' threads. we can just make one official one that everyone can post in.
we don't need 23298 'would you hit it' threads every week. let's just make one official one, everyone can post in there.
we also don't need 848538409 news item threads every day either. let's make one official news thread.
also, don't need 45934039 'i got a new puppy/kitty/shark/salamander' threads either. make an official pet thread.
i don't think ron paul deserves a thread every time he farts. make one 'ron paul' official thread.

do you see where i'm going? it can get pretty ridiculous very fast. the point of a forum is to fuel discussion and debate and to offer a place where people can post damn near whatever they want.
if we just made 20 main 'official' threads.. everyone's thoughts/comments/new posts would get lost.

plus, my thread is specific to the hotties of the forum. by ALL means, if you want to make a thread with the ladies of my350z, go ahead! just ask our permission to use our pictures

I just want to say that I think the "Official Member Photo Thread" should be a picture thread. That's it. If you don't post a picture, you shouldn't post. I can't count how many times I've gone to that thread and went through the last page or more and no pictures. Just people post whoring. I'm not trying to be an @ss. Just stating my opinion.

 

True but its going to be very time consuming to clear it up and maintain it... Hell, they can make me mod and I'd do it

 

Actually I think any picture thread should be a picture thread. Don't post unless you post a picture. It's not really being mean. It would making it interesting and stop all the bs-ing. Just make it a rule that you must post a picture regarding the topic to post. All other posts will be deleted. Let the bs-ing commence in a post ***** thread.

 

Hraesvelg, I don't have the ability to give you editing powers for one thread or any amount of thread for that matter. I'll be doing it whenever I get a chance and hopefully other OT mods and super mods could help out a little. I'll be deleting all posts, but the ones with original pictures (excludes quoted posts).

As far as the Men of My350Z thread goes, I'm just afraid that some people may get hurt that they aren't in the thread. The thread is more of a rankings list, rather than a regular picture thread, which may be offensive to some. In addition, as it is about the members on here, it is a bit more personal than just a regular booty, boob, gf, etc threads. For now it'll stay, but I opened up a discussion in the mod forum about it, so we'll see how that goes. How about I start up a "Rate the women of my350z, then put them in order of hottest(?) to ugliest(?)" thread? I'm sure most of the women would be upset to see themselves rated a score then ranked based on their appearance alone, which they do not have total control over.

I say I get to do it, since it was my idea. Plus, we don't need their permission, as we're not posting their pics. I don't recall anything in the "men of my350z" thread about if permission was granted to have their names up, prior to the actual post with names (without pictures).

Exactly. There aren't that many, so it'll be easier for us to rate and then rank accordingly. At least they can say that are in the top 25.
