I just want it removed totally, but I can't since I don' know vBulletin very well. It's a hack added in manually through the server which I don't even have access to.
Thanks for your opinions though. I will use them to persuade the head admin to remove it.
Thanks,
- Mike

I dont know if it should go by date either. I have been coming to this site since John started it. He actually kept my interest in the Z by posting new pictures whenever they were available. I didnt become a member until dec or nov. I didnt want to be a member of anything. Eventually when he sold it and it turned to what it is now, where you cant see anyhting unless you are a member. I finally turned a member to learn more stuff. The points are useless and mean nothing. I would like the glow thing just because it is cool. That is my input.

I say delete the point system
remove custom titles, replace them with set titles that change from 0-3000 posts

that lets people distinguish themselves.
then as another idea... we could start up a paypal account for the site. then "sell" custom titles for 5$ or whatever to support the site. then as the site gains money in the account, use the money to hold contests and have a prize.
oh and finally posts in offtopic should not count for anything.

im here to talk about cars, not try to rack up worthless internet points.. that kinda sounds nerdy

I was on a computer related forum like this for years and we didn't have points, I was God-Like Member which simply meant I made allot of posts.
So post counts and points are fun but no indication of anything.
I dropped 20k points to glow and I didn't feel any big loss.
One thing we did that was cool though was we were allowed to be involved in a logo design and we all voted on it and the site made money of this logo we collectively designed.
Like Mouse pads, Window Stickers, T-Shirts etc.
It's a way of revenue.
As for Visual Basic causing ptoblems I would disagree HTML causes more problems on these types of problems than simple
dang it edit, what button is it that sends my posts before I am done typing?
Anyways what I was gonna say is that you can disable icons smilieys and even sigs to make your browsing quicker especiallyu important for those on dial ups. Go to your options area and play around and see.

It's my keyboard I swear I am a very good speller!
Went straight to English 1A in my assesment test.
I think the VB Code is causing typos
HTH (Hope this Helps)

the pints system doesn't really matter to me - it does seem to decrease the signal to noise ratio making the view new posts a bit more painful secondary to the point ******. heck the only reason I want points is so I can change my name (when i originally registered, I never got a confirm email, but then it wouldn't let me try to register the same usename )
