that is the thing. a new member can make an account, wait 45 days and with their first post, make a for sale thread. by the current rules this is ok. and being a premier member doesn't make a member any better (remember the greddy brakes thread, he was a premier).

No offense, but anyone who lacks the common sense to make an online transaction from a newb with no trader rating is plain out naive. Sure we've had premier member scams also, not that I can recall as many, but the ratio and risk factor of that happening is significantly lower. There's going to be cheats, scammers, and low life peices of chit in both realms. It's the nature of internet business. We all take that risk. Best advice I can give, which ya' probably already know: Research the seller, stay away from newb sellers, and research trader rating. This will lower the risk factor.

So, why was my FS thread deleted? I met at least one of the rules and I have another open FS thread that hasn't been deleted. No, I don't have a I-trader rating here. But I have plently of feedback elsewhere that I am happy to have anyone look up.

maybe someone should create a central repository for trader ratings.

FYI, I don't consider Ebay ratings to be worth the electrons used to display them. To many people hold ratings hostage and try to intimidate buyers and sellers. hence, the ratings are not reliable.

Internet scams can happen at any time. The owners and administrators of MY350Z.COM are not responsible in any way and cannot guarantee the ability of a seller to complete the transaction or the quality of the items. It is strongly recommended that you use C.O.D. or an online escrow service. Always use common sense and do research on the product and the seller before making any deal.
I'm not sure what you want the staff members to do. Do you want us to check every single person for their IP to see if it matches the previous scammers, to see if they're legit, to see if they really have the item, if they sound fishy in any of their previous posts, etc? I don't see that happening ever.

It is YOUR (as buyers and sellers) responsibility to ensure that the transaction goes smoothly, and even happen for that matter, not ours. You guys want everything spoonfed to you or something, it's ridiculous. Stop blaming others. Do your research (on the item history and seller/buyer history) then make the move. Don't expect us to do anything more than what we're already doing for you, as that won't change anything. I guarantee you that. Common sense and logic goes a long way.
