Default suggestion for website additions

I think this is a great idea that would help out everyone here.

Many people are fabricating custom parts for the z. Usually these are found out through the private classifieds and the modifications forum. We need to create a page that is devoted to these parts that would be somewhat organized with contact info, prices, pictures etc.... the page should be broken down into categories such as engine/driveline/interior/exterior so it will be easy to navigate...

I sometimes recal parts that i saw floating around the forums but can no longer locate to buy. this would help bring everything to a central location.

what do you think?

difficulty is in many cases this becomes free advertising competing with vendors ect.

of course the rules are that if you make something that a vendor doesnt make, then you can sell it anyway without being a vendor. in many cases this is how it goes(I being one of them); but altho Id love to get some free advertising to showcase my stuff, that would make the "inventor" status useless.

its a good idea for sure, just runs into some financial type problems, and this site sure cant be free to host so I cant complain too much if certain sacrifices are made to keep our sponsors happy.

i see what you are saying ares, but there is a flaw in your arguement...

the stuff is being advertise right now in the private classifieds forum... so why not just put them on their own page with pics and links all easy to navigate?

where do you draw the line between advertising and showcasing. its sorta the same thing.

I donno, might not matter, I know vic only has access to the forum, he can change anything in the forum, but not the rest fo the site. and we'll have to see what the other people think about it.

well as the rules go you may offer, sell, show anything that a paying vendor doesnt offer. so as long as your list of stuff did not compete with a paying vendor, yes I dont see why you couldnt.

but vic would be more of an authority on this as he takes care of the vendor stuff, we mods dont really touch any of that. but that would be my understanding.
