Not a big deal, but the small gallery images on the main page do make the page load slower. It is a bit annoying. I sure wouldn't miss them if they weren't there. I can always go to the galleries and look at photo's if I wanted. I think the only interesting thing I've ever seen was notice that VO is a runner.

 

Look in the upper right corner of the gallery and you'll see what looks like a circle around two carets (^). Click on it and the gallery will go away.
