I got this virus twice, both times when I clicked "discussions" It cost me $180 to get rid of it and I will be happy to forward you the bill. You owe me $180 as far as I'm concerned.

lulz, I know very little about my computer, but I know enough not to get screwed by geek squad!
My350 owes you nothing, it's one of the perks you get from owning a computer, and getting on a site you don't contribute to, but use for your own advantage

I did not get the virus from this site, but I did get it in the past, multiple times actually. Every time it was a different named .exe file, and I had to manually remove a lot of registry files, and fix my hosts file. This all had to be done in safe mode with networking.
I think MDHRZ is on to something about doubleclick.net. I use Firefox with adblockplus, and I manually added doubleclick.net to the blocked list... and I never got the virus from this site... I browse at work on and off all day and never had an issue when everyone was reporting it..

When I have come to the home page, there is a message that looks like its from the ADMIN but the first time I saw it, read that it had a link to remove viruses, but it screwed up my firefox. Then another time it showed up and then disappeared within 2 seconds of loading the homepage.

Internet Brands has performed a deep search of their servers and could not find any virus or malware present. Should you experience a suspicious or malicious pop up offering anti virus software, please take a screen shot of the pop up and note the time and location it occurred on the site. Please notify our staff members with those information via this thread (click me).
If you've already encountered this virus, we strongly recommend that you follow the instructions in this link (click me). Another method of getting rid of the virus for genuine Windows users would be to download the Windows Security Essential from Microsoft (click me).

I got the virus about a week ago. idr what thread it was from because i didnt know where i got it from at first. I am almost 100% sure its from the ads. What i think the ib techs should do is remove all ads for a week and see if anyone gets the virus. If no one gets it then we know its from the ads.
