Default Recent issue: Internet Explorer cannot open Internet Site

This started last night/this morning (+3 GMT)..

out of a sudden, i got this error message (on all pages, and not only the main page):

and that isn't just on one PC, but tried it on 7 with the same issue.

a quick workaround is to use firefox, but that shouldn't be the solution to this.

can an admin/mod look into this please?

Thanks

Thanks vo.. it might be something to do with an add-on that is triggered by one of the ads we got on the forum.

I'll try to find a resolution to this and post back if any.

I was having this issue recently as well. After googling, it looks like it has something to do with Javascript on the site.

Today is the first day I have been able to access using IE so perhaps the problem has been resolved?

Why are you still using IE 7? Why are you using IE at all?

Sorry, but it's pretty much the root of all evil on the internet.

We apologize for the problems earlier this week, they only affected users running IE7. An upgrade, or a different browser is the fastest solution if it pops up again.

cheers,
robb

While I agree with you, I have no control over what browser I use at work and cannot download anything else without administrative priviledges.
