Hello, for the past month or so when i click on any random thread (using Google chrome) it will automatically act as if i'm downloading the thread ( same way it would act as if i were downloading a file from the internet) and the page won't load. What could the culprit be here? I've downloaded the latest version of Chrome and cleared cookies and cache.

 

Yup, same problem.

 

I'm working with IB to troubleshoot the issues, if anyone else is experiencing anything else please let me know by posting here and also what Broswer you're using.

I have noticed the issue with Safari but not with Firefox or IE8

 

Same problem with Chrome. But only at work, not at home.

safari..click on page all i get is a white screen. it wont even let me refresh the page, i have to go back and try the page again. alot of the time i just give up because it keeps coming up blank.

Ditto... I have to click on the link sometimes 3-10 times before it loads...

Yep Safari same problem. Phewww saved me tons almost threw my mac across the room...

Safari seems to be the real culprit, Chris try using Firefox instead and there is no longer lagging issues.

Still happening on Chrome. Sometimes I get a page full of code.

The "my recent post" button is still screwed. The search function starts missing recent posts and threads. Walls of strange text when clicking links, click back and reclick and it works.

WTF! They were trying to roll out all that lame crap when they should be focusing on function. Dont give a rats *** about rep, awards, points and pic wars. Just get the site to work!

 

I also can not view the recent posts. The "recent posts" link on the home page is gone????

To break this down a bit and continue to try and solve the problems.

The users with downloading links, is it only in Chrome and Safari? any specific links? how often?

Users with My Recent Posts Issues, is it the top nav bar link shown in my attachment? Does it not work for any of the choices(2days, 3days, etc.)? Does it always come back with "Sorry, no results"?

 

I only use Chrome. It doesn't seem to be specific links for me rather than random times. I will click a link, the download prompt comes up, I close it out and continue to click the link but nothing happens while most other links work fine. I also notice that if the download prompt arises and I shut it down and re-click the same link and leave it alone, the page will eventually load minutes later.

 

On the "My350z Home Page", there used to be widgets down the left side for recently updated threads and for popular threads. In the Recent Updates widget, you could even click a link and get a search that provided all of the recently updated threads across the entire site, sorted by most recently updated to oldest for the past 24 hours.

I don't see it anymore. Is this a permanent change?

 

I don't think they're talking about the "My Recent Posts", but the "Recent Posts" widget that has disappeared from the "My350z Home Page".
