My dearest IB Jason,
Concerning this new photo uploading thing you have referenced here: https://my350z.com/forum/feedback-an...oader-254.html
You mention that "We've rolled out a new photo uploader that makes adding images to threads and posts much, much easier." However, it makes it much, much harder. It used to be that one would click on the mountain picture thing and then just paste the URL of the photo and boom it's in there like swimwear. Now, I have to do some weird uploader that tells me invalid file type 75% of the time (on imgur no less, which is quite common). So instead I just type out the [img] and [/img] tags and paste the URL myself.
If we could have back the old way that would be great.
Kind regards,
Stuatross

My favorite part is when it says invalid URL, but keeps uploading, and then when you hit cancel you also have to hit ok. It's so cumbersome...
Thanks for sharing your feedback (and apologies for my delayed response). The uploader is a product we plan to update on a regular basis, and I'm happy to report that we are addressing your concerns in an upcoming revision. The most notable changes will be proper mobile device support (including tablets), faster load times, and a reprioritizing of the 'upload from URL' option that will not only put it at the top of the uploader, but also select it by default so you can simply paste your URL without needing to click around first. We will also properly support direct imgur image URLs.
The new update is currently undergoing internal testing, but should live within the next few weeks.
Thanks again and happy holidays!

Many of the features I mentioned in my previous post should now be up and running, including the reprioritizing of the 'upload from URL' option and faster loading. We're still working out the final parts of the mobile site support, as well as proper imgur support, but those will be launching soon as well.
StuLax18, are there any other aspects of the current image uploader you're having trouble with?
Thanks!
