Default Yet Another Goodbye...

I kept hoping that you all would get your act together but since its not happening, I too must bid you farewell. Some parting notes…

Honestly this site has the best collection of information out there, but that can only do so much to keep my interest on it. The site has obviously gotten way to large for not only its server, but also its Admin as well. I mean no disrespect to Victor, but when you are in over your head there is no reason not to ask for help.

I would strongly suggest better communication - creating a page to put up when you are having issues, put a bit of information or how long you anticipate the outage to be – you will have much happier people.

Yet another no-brainer would be NOT TO MESS WITH UNPROVEN SETTINGS ON A LIVE SERVER – Create a test server, where you can mess with everything and if it breaks… its ok! It’s a test server, no one is affected!

Also, I keep hearing people saying “you can’t be mad – you don’t pay anything for it”, this is true – we do not pay anything directly to you for this site… BUT, we do buy things from the sponsors of the site, which in turn pay for this site – lose us, lose the sales referrals for the sponsors, lose the sponsors interest, lose your income - It’s called a business.

Nothing on this site is going to work correctly until someone pays some money for upgrades – I hear that it is in the works, I hope that they have someone who knows what they are doing taking care of this. Until they get their act together I am going to make a new home over at 350zmotoring.com (or **********.com – their site seems to be a bit messy however). If my350z can handle the fix I will most likely be back, but at this point that seems to be a long shot – too bad, such a waste of useful information.

Whats up man.

I knew I would get a response out of you on that one.

When I say messy I mean your theme is a bit messy. Things are not really placed like there was a lot of thought behind them, Lots of white space, graphics don't mesh togeather quite right.

You also need to try your themes in all browsers, your nav buttons don't work in anything other then IE - this may not seem like a huge deal, but not everyone uses IE and I'm not going to switch browsers just to look at that one site.

I know you just got a new server but on my end its slow - not a good sign for having 21 people online.

Please don't take this personally - you all have done a great job with that site and my hat is off to your effort.

Andrew
I go RAR on just about every site - including yours.

we are aware of the menu button issue and that is in work to be fixed..

Which graphics are you speaking of ?? There are not many there! It is being kept simple for a reason.. We could add graphics, colors, line, dots, pictures, etc.. but that starts making it look really busy..
