Recently traded the 370 for a 350...
Hello all! I recently downgraded from my 370 to a 350 for a few reasons. I mainly wanted more of a project car and the cheaper model will make room in the budget to go turbo soon which is what I really want. But I'm a die hard Z fan so I didn't want to switch platforms all together. I found a guy online selling an 04 'NISMO' version, so I called him up and made sure it was actually the NISMO and not just a few stickers and he assured me that it was. So I made the hour and a half trip up there to pick her up and low and behold it was just a bunch of stickers. Needless to say I was pissed enough to talk him down in price a good bit. But I still bought it seeing as I knew the plans I had for it didn't matter if it was NISMO or not. But anyways let the fun begin
! So far I put on the N1 wing and front bumper scoop as well as a Pioneer avic nav unit which was all easy enough, and removed the NISMO stripes
.

nismo z's are 07-08 and limited.
the only thing nismo on that are .. the stickers. MAYBE the exhaust, but I can't tell from these pics .. and, funny enough, the spoiler is a nismo replica.
I like how he put the small nismo stickers on the sides, front and rear.. ha ha : P
in typical ricer fashion, it looks like he stuffed some hid bulbs in there without retrofitting.
hopefully you got a good price on it, have fun with it and good luck with the turbo build.

Yeah I knew right away when I saw it that it wasn't a Nismo, however I had already made the trip to get it. And around me the cheapest 350 I had found previous was listed at $11k. So i decided what the heck. I ended up doing a straight up trade for my 05 F150 4.6L RWD so I was happy because I hated the thing anyways. It was valued somewhere between $8-9K. But Ive done alot of reading on the Nismos since and they made an 04 R-tune package and an 04 S-tune package. The R-tune came in blue and the S-tune came in silver, the R-tune being a really high performance model and the S-tune basically only having an S-tune exhaust performance-wise...But I'll love it anyways, I wasn't fooled and didn't plan on it being anything special...Until I'm done with it
.
On a side note I do like the CF bumper scoop...and its real CF what a surprise!

You can tell immediately that its not a Nismo as it doesn't have the sideskirts, and didn't all Nismo's come with a numbered plaque by the gear lever. Thay also look like 17" wheels and the Nismo came with 18". I could go on but i won't because i don't want to put a downer on your new purchase which looks quite tidy by the way. I prefer the look of the 350 over the 370 every day of the week and i think you've made a great choice, good luck with your modding. Look forward to seeing some pics as you go along with the mods,
I thought there wasn't an official nismo version only until 07/08 in the US. The only nismo things were small stuff like aero, intake, exhaust, nothing special that you couldn't get from any other aftermarket manufacturers. I like the 350z looks over 370z, never digged the front and rear on them. Good luck with mods and hope you didn't take a large hit when you resold the 370z.

haha russ, the yellow car is my little brothers college graduation present my dad decided to comondeer one of my garage spots for the summer while he is back at home to hide it from him. Its a kit car from the 70's called a Cymbria. We built one back when I was in highschool as well as a porsche 356 kit.
And I agree the stock front of the 370 never did appeal to me however theres nothing sexier than a 370 with an Amuse body kit imo.

I actually like the way the V1 wing flows with the rest of the V1 Nismo Pieces. But sorry OP, the only thing Nismo about that car is the V1 wing and the decals; that is not a Nismo. Oh yeah, Nismo models don't come with 17" stockers with 225/235 tires.
Regards. Two Nismos introduced in '04, the S & R-Tune editions. There is an owner's review for the '04 S-Tune at Edmonds.com.
