I am assuming you mean $2000 refund for the block I am looking at, but not $2000 for the one he referrenced.

 

Shortblock or longblock, you'll get a $2k refund for the core as soon as you send your block back to them.

Answer:
We always reccomend getting rods for anything over 450 RWHP.....As of right now we do not have any cores to sell. If you send us your block it will be about 4 weeks, depending on the availability of the pistons....

Hmm...I could of sworn Kyle told me it was $2000, maybe he was telling me refund total (I plan on getting head work later).

 

Actually, they do both. For most of the shortblocks it is $1000 and then for most of the longblocks it is $2000.

Shortblock = bottom end (crank, block, bearings, rods, pistons), longblock = bottom end and heads (crank, bearings, rods, pistons, heads, block, cams, valvetrain). Yes, they have a package for the 350Z. Well, yes, but no reason to do it unless you are going over 650rwhp, same with sleeves.

 

I had them already and now that I'm adding the Greddy system doesn't it make since that if they are open (tune it that way) that HP and torque would increase over not opening them. Dynoing while N/A or using n2o did not show a gain either way. Reading up on turbos leads me to believe you want to do away with back pressure as much as possible. Any thoughts??

 

correct..the less restriction after the turbos..the quicker they will spool

 

Okay i'm kinda new to the Z world but from what i have seen maybe with the TT kits but i have seen and know a few guys running on stock motors with added blowers and have been running them for almost 1 year now no problems maybe it depends on what level you want to be at ???

 

Just a tip, when you're getting the TT install done, make sure to move the power steering line away from the turbo.I had a custom made steel line.

The stock aluminum line kept rubbing on the turbo and made a hole, I had no power steering and I had to bring it back to the shop. I wasn't charged for the repair but it's still an inconveniece.

 

Does this apply also to APS TT kit?

I'm not sure as the turbos aren't the same size.You might want to tell the installer to make a note of this.
