Might sound like a bit of a daft question, but do you think that using the stock map on the vortech (i.e. rich as hell) and with a straight through exhaust it would be possible to pop flames on gear change?? anyone witnessed this?
Might sound a bit fast and furious, but I'm intrigued.

 

After I put on my 3.12 pulley . I was tuning on the dyno . Dont know if it shot flames out the back , but it back fired because it was so dam rich . It must have gotten into a different part of the fuel map that had all 10's . It was in the upper rpm range and you know thats where we have to reduce the fuel numbers the most....Bill

 

Was behind my friends 200sx the other day and it was shooting some impressive fireworks out the back. He's running a straight through Blitz Nur spec exhaust and about 1.4 bar boost. Wish my car did it! looks great.
Dont think its possible with the nismo exhaust.
