Howdy Y'all

Ok, so I have an 08 and I just got it over 5k miles. I really don't understand the change oil every three months thing. I thought the old quicky lube change every 3k miles was ridiculous. I've never heard of oil braking down sitting in a pan and aging. Even brake fluid has to get condensation to be ruined. ok, enough of that.

Roadster questions:

• It takes about two minutes to see through the rear window with the defrost on and about five minutes to fully clear. Does that sound about right?
• The safety release button is super soft. I can push it easily with my thumb, then pull down the lever when it drops. I thought it was harder to push when I first got the car.
• I could have sworn the seat heater upper light lit when I rocked it forward on hi but only the bottom light goes on at low or high.
• The trunk barely pops up and I have to lift it all the way up. I would think after after about a foot it would lift itself up the rest of the way.
• What do you use to preserve the top?
• Has anyone had motor failure with the electric top?
• Does extended warranty cover the top and motor?

Regular questions:

• What is the avg mpg? I reset mine and it's at 19 but it may have been on 21. I thought it was 36, which is why I reset it, then I figured out that was avg MPH. D'oh!
• Any common issues I should be looking out for?
• Any recalls or TSB's?
• DIY preventative or routine maintenance?
• I know it has speed sensitive steering but it feels likes there's no power at street speeds. In comparison MBZ feels over-steered and too sensitive (like fwd) but Porsche feels light and neutral.
• Did everyone change the stereo and add a reverse camera?
