hey live in cali and need suggestions
when i get my car, i want to know what would be better for the z, i want reliability, power, and a little bit of mileage. so far i have seen the ati procharger, and with 50% more power at 7psi,along with CARB legal is a pretty nice kit, but since it is a power adder it can drastically redue engine life if not properly set up, i wanna know since i have about 2,250 in reserve for mods what would be teh best way to go? my friend is getting a lotus esprit twin turbo v8 from his parents and i want to knock some sense into him. his car stock will run a 13 second flat on street tires and pull .95g on the skidpad, is there anyway for me to build up an engine to beat him while maintaining good driveability, reliability, and being CARB legal? thanks for the help in advance, this forum is great and i hope to be a contributor once i get my facts straight about this car.
Well, none of the TT kits are CARB legal just yet. The SC's, such as the Vortech will get you close..but probably not below 13.0 on stock tires.
Best bet is to save up and buy the APS kit. It's perfect out of the box, and correctly engineered and thought out. CARB cert is pending on the APS, and Greddy kit.

thanks for the suggestion, im trying to find out if there are any good stroker kits out there that could put me near 400+hp with 11:1 compression, im a little afraid about forced induction due to the risk of detonation, and also how superchargers put constant wear on an engine. im still researching, but your help did set me on the right path as for what there is for the z.
