ok so I thought i got my kit for a great price $4240. But Vortech is trying to blowout some kits right now because the price tag is going up in 2005!!!
Avalon Racing is selling satin kits for 4071 shipped! and the polished for 4310 shipped! WOW! I just wanted to let As many people know about this great deal while its going on, because I know alot of people find out too late! Your order has to be before Dec.15 and these are kits that are being made as we speak!
I know I was excited about getting my Vortech for the price I got, ( I was only a few days short!
) so I just wanted to make sure those interested knew about this deal before it was gone! I know how much it sucks to know you are buying something the day after the sale is over and it goes up a few hundred dollars! In this case, more cause the price is changing!
Avalon Racing is a vendor on the site and that is his name on the board.
BTW! MY VORTECH IS IN THE GARAGE! I CANT WAIT TO PUT IT ON!!!

Yeah, i saw his post about the prices going up which sucks. I was planning on buying one in the spring cause i just bought wheels. Hopefully it doesn't go up too much. Look forward to seeing what you think or yours and what all you got with it and how you dyno
It sounds like Vortech is building their own coffin if they are going to raise prices...would you pay more for a Vortech than a Turbonetics or APS single turbo system....no, me neither!

SIX I got my kit from Avalon as well. Tell him I sent ya!
BTW, this IS the cheapest you will find this kit for from an AUTHORIZED dealer, make sure you by from an AUTHORZED dealer, or your warrranty is no good, and if you are missing parts in the kit they will not give them to you....
This price increase is not isolated to the automotive industry . . . its affecting the coatings industry from two fronts: oil and steel. Oil for the petroleum based coatings and steel for the containers that house them . . . 2005 doesn't look good for being a buyers market, especially with the explosive growth of new factories in China. A lot of the resources are being sent there and they're willing to pay much more than the US counterparts.
That was your International Economics tidbit of the day

Well, the price of oil is still higher than last year, but it's trending down. Steel prices are expected to increase. Another factor coming to play now is the lower value of the US dollar against foreign currency. A lower dollar makes all import goods more expensive, whether they include oil and/or steel components or not.
Yeah, a weaker dollar makes our traditional suppliers want to export products so that they can wreap the benefit of a stronger foreign currency. My company, Sherwin-Williams--the largest NA manufacturer of coatings, used to be able to dictate what price we paid for our raw materials, but now, the suppliers are saying "buy less from us, so we can export." In addition, the costs are going up and no one will write a quote beyond 90 days, unlike our annual quotes we used to get.
Needless to say, the steel industry and every company directly / indirectly linked to it, will experience a volatile, inflated market.
This cost increase will not just affect Vortech . . . I'll be surprised to see if APS doesn't hike its prices dramatically should the USD continue to fall in value.
